Training & Fellowship Manager
Alwiyah Shariff
Alwiyah Shariff is the Training & Fellowship Manager at Ohio Voice. In 2007, as a high-schooler, she started her organizing career on a campaign to raise the minimum wage and learned how to advocate for young people in the system. Since then, she has worked in multiple sectors of the social justice movement including protest organizing, lobbying, union organizing and field organizing – registering over 45,000 young people in Ohio to vote as Ohio Student Association’s Field Director. She’s also been a trainer for multiple training institutions including the Midwest Academy, Momentum and WildFire. She is coming to us from her role as the National Membership Coordinator with the Working Families Party and is eager to work (strictly) in Ohio at such a critical time in our country. She lives in Columbus, Ohio with her family and loves to travel back home to East Africa.

Carlos Saalvadra
Carlos Saalvadra is an amazing organizer and thinker who helped found United we Dream and the ‘Dreamer movement’. He is also one of the founders of the Ayni Institute and the Movement Ecology/ Momentum training. Carlos was a trainer with the Vision for Ohio Fellowship and has a lot of love for Ohio.
Miski Noor
Miski Noor was the National Communications director for Black Lives Matterfor several years and is an expert in community and electoral organizing. They are also one of the founders of the Black Visions Collective in Minnesota which raised over 4o million dollars in the past few months. They are currently leading BVC through a process of becoming a one of a kind organization
Cedar Landsman
Cedar Landsman is a founder and leader trainer at the Relational Uprising Center and has over 20 years of movement experience. Relational Uprising is a training and coaching institute that teaches practices for building resilient, empathic and relational culture among movement building communities and organizations. The intention of a culture shift strategy is to undermine the impact of a dominant culture of isolation, harm, oppression and competition by intentionally fostering a relational culture of distributed interdependence, sensitivity to connection, and complex inclusion.

Lucien Demaris is a founder and lead trainer of the Relational Uprising center and has over 20 years of movement experience. Relational Uprising is a training and coaching institute that teaches practices for building resilient, empathic and relational culture among movement building communities and organizations.
